I have succeeded in making 55cm long gloves out of sheep kidskin leather.
I asked the Italian leather supplier to make very thin, soft and stretchable leather out of larger skins.
this is difficult,the leather had to be split in a very special way and the tanning process also need special products.
The result is fabulous! The most wonderfull, soft leather I ever had, good leather structure, still full grain feeling and appearence,very good "glow"and nice smelling leather.
It is expensive but so good!

Sounds very interesting! Do you have pictures? Being a great fan of your beautiful gloves, I will order some as soon as I see something. Will the new material be available also in mid length?
The first designs will be 16 button [operagloves] and 24 button
[up-shoulder gloves].
for the 24 button gloves I still need to find a solution that they will stay in place at the shoulder.
Idea's are most welcome.
