In an array of men so diverse, it can be helpful to categorize the types. Of course, every categorization has its flaws…how can men possibly be generalized? Perhaps generalizations can make life a bit easier in terms of making decisions. In fact, I have learned that partner-selection can be simplified by comparing the, to a set of gloves. Perhaps a glove may appear to be far from anything like a man or woman, but there are helpful similarities that can help you define your feelings towards that particular person.
Just like any relationship, a glove has a certain life-span. Sometimes the glove decides on its own life-span by falling apart after years of use and sometimes you choose the life-span of the glove. For instance, you might get bored of the glove or feel like something new. There are also the gloves that just keep coming back…you had stored them away last spring thinking you would buy a new pair the next autumn, but come November, you find them in your cupboard and just can’t help but to slip them right on again. Just like being with that certain someone, putting on these gloves feels like home or makes you think of the good times you had when wearing them. The life of gloves can resemble that of the men or women in your life. Some come and go, some stand by you for years, and some just don’t go away…and you really don’t mine because they’re your favorite pair.
Then there are the important elements of the glove itself. Gloves can protect you. This should be an important characteristic of your partner too. A partner that gives you a sense of security and comfort is pivotal for the basis of a good relationship. Then, there are gloves that you simply love from the outside, but every time you slip them on, one of your fingers doesn’t seem long enough for the glove…and this creates the love-hate relationship between you and your gloves. Why can’t they just fit?!! They’re perfect! Take it from me…you and your man don’t have to fit perfectly, but if something as essential as a finger-tip in a glove does not fit (no matter how much you want it to) something about the relationship is not exactly rocking your boat. Then there are the gloves that you just love so much you could fall asleep wearing them…sigh. You wear them for years and cannot seem to let go. This might turn them into the legendary set of gloves in your life…the Mr. Big glove, the Mr. Darcy glove, the Mr. Right glove, you name it. These are the gloves that you’ll never throw out because they become dear to your heart. You’ve probably experienced legendary things while wearing them, and you just don’t want to forget any of them.
So whether your partner is legendary or regrettable…it’s nice to know that somewhere out there there’s the perfect fit. Some gloves will be in your life briefly and others for the rest of your life…In the meantime, it’s nice to know that you can depend on a pair of reliable Ines gloves when meeting these particular men (or women) in your life.
