Some words about leather

Leather skins, big enough to make 65cm long gloves out of 1 piece, is no option for me.
Unfortunally, the bigger the skin, the less soft, supple and thin the leather will be.

After all, I work with kid skin leather.
And what I really want is making the most soft and supple gloves, which feels and act like a second skin, that is my first goal.
Because the gloves have a very tight fit, you hardly see the tiny seam when the gloves are on, because it is covered by a tiny plead.

This has nothing to do with less costs,on the contrary, real soft kid skins just have it's price, especially when I need 4 skins to make 1pair 65cm gloves.
Sure, you can make gloves out of 1 piece of "older age"leather, but you have to accept at the same time, the gloves will be rather static, hard, not stretchable and less thin leather.
My choice is clear, I prefer the softest ,stretchable leather sensations.

Dear Ines,

I just received one pair of your extra long gloves with the wristseam. The leather you use is extremely fine and thin. So I accept absolutely that you prefer quality to size.

Unfortunately, the wristseam keeps me from getting into the gloves hand. At the very point where a glove needs its biggest amount of flexibility, there is this damned seam. Until now, I did not find a woman with size 7.5 (this is the gloves' size) which succeeds to slip through this very narrow wrist.

I have no problem with long gloves that have a seam close to the elbow. I think there should be some more creative ways to make the seam a fashion statement. I saw very long (and very expensive) gloves from Hermés that sported two diagonal seams, a very dynamic sight.

What about a kind of cuff that starts just some cm over the elbow, making the gloves' upper part look like a classic riding boot?

So we are talking about leather sensations, definitely! You already brought some sensations into my glove-life, and I am looking eagerly forward to the next ones.

Thank you and keep gloving!

Hi Henry,
Have faith, you will find a woman's hand. I know, because there are many women out there, already wearing my gloves with much joy.
Your time will come soon!
In about 10 day's, new gloves will be available, suitable for all types and sizes of hands.
I managed to find a creative solution[as designer I should!]which is not affecting the softness of the kidleather and the tight design.
But thats not all;the shoulder high gloves will also be available in red.
Would that bring even more sensations into your glove-life?
I will keep gloving!
